Card & Autograph Dual Grading Process

Our authenticators have a diverse knowledge base that is complemented by proprietary methods and technology to form the following four-step authentication process.

Step 1

Eligible Items

All types of trading cards and tickets can be submitted under the dual grading service. This include Tallboys and Supersized cards and Full tickets or Stubs.

Step 2

Autograph Examination

The autograph is evaluated first, and once deemed genuine, the autograph can be graded on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being best.

Step 3

Grading Process

Next, the trading card or ticket is evaluated and once deemed genuine, the card or ticket can proceed through the grading process. The card or ticket is graded on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being best.

Step 4

Encapsulation

After grading, PSA holders each card or ticket in the tamper-evident case. A label within the case displays the pertinent information for the card or ticket and autograph along with the certification number. For Dual Grading the unique barcode is always featured on the back of the label.
